Hello, I am wondering if a 1099-Misc needs to be issued by us, the employer, to the Plaintiff of a Garnishment? Our A/P department is getting quite stringent on requiring a Federal Tax ID number on all new vendors and I know that finance generally issues 1099's for any payments over $600 to an attorney.
